Flood Advisory issued September 27 at 3:18PM EDT until September 27 at 7:15PM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...The following county, in northeast Kentucky, Lewis and the following counties, in south central Ohio, Adams, Highland, Pike, Ross and Scioto. * WHEN...Until 715 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 318 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Chillicothe, Portsmouth, Hillsboro, Greenfield, Waverly, Wheelersburg, West Union, New Boston, Piketon, Manchester, Peebles, Leesburg, Greenup, Marshall, Seaman, South Webster, Bainbridge, Kincaid Springs, Pike Lake and Lucasville. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
