Between 4 and 6.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Portsmouth, Waverly, Wheelersburg, New Boston, Piketon, Greenup, South Webster, Lucasville, Clarktown, Rosemount, Sciotodale, Pike Lake, Kincaid Springs, Franklin Furnace, Beaver, Rarden, Otway, Wakefield, Bear Creek and Mcdermott. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
